Tea Mlinarić has launched a campaign called Let's care about life to raise funds for DEBRA, 24/7 support service for "Butterfly Children" - children with Epidermolysis Bullosa (inhered connective tissue disease manifested by excessive skin sensitivity) and their families.
Under the slogan "Ne dvoji, za drugog odvoji" (Don’t accumulate, share with your mate), the Red Cross of Croatia has provided Croatians all over the country with a day of opportunities to give to 80,000 people living in poverty in Croatia.
Alen Krsmanović is finishing his MA studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. He is a talented young painter, photographer, and video editor. Alen is also a person with a disability - he has an arthrogryposis, a disease that causes muscle contraction and deformity of the joints, due to which he is not able to use his hands. He creates his art only with his mouth.
The European Day of Foundations and Donors is an event whose ambition is to motivate the public to support organizations, whether it is through donations, volunteer work, or other types of support. The European Day of Foundations and Donors has been celebrated every year on October 1st. This is the second year Croatia will join the event, and this time by organizing Philanthopy week, with the central event in Zadar.
For the first day of school, Lidl has donated welcoming bags to 522 first graders from 25 schools from underdeveloped areas. In order to make their first day at school special, Lidl representatives personally handed bags with school supplies and snacks to first graders in Darda, while pupils from other schools got bags on the same day.
